The Bow Tie Chronicles: Penalties hurt in Falcons’ loss to Jets

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — In the 345th episode of The Bow Tie Chronicles podcast, host D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution discusses the Falcons’ 24-16 loss to the New York Jets on “Monday Night Football.” Quarterbacks Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder led the Falcons to a 16-0 lead, but the reserves could not close out the victory. The Falcons, who committed 13 penalties for 121 yards, dropped to 1-1 in the exhibition season.
