Rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is set to make his first start for the Falcons (7-7) when they face the Giants (2-12) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Wide receiver Chris Blair, who was the top receiver on the practice squad working with Penix, was promoted to the 53-man active roster Saturday.

Also, wide receiver Dylan Drummond was promoted to the roster for game day from the practice squad, but was declared inactive. Linebacker Rashaan Evans was released to make room for Blair.

The remaining inactives include running back Carlos Washington, defensive tackle Brandon Dorlus, offensive guard Elijah Wilkinson, offensive tackle Brandon Parker and wide receiver Casey Washington.

The Giants inactives are quarterback Tim Boyle (third QB), cornerback Greg Stroman, cornerback Dee Williams, cornerback Divaad Wilson, offensive guard Aaron Stinnie and defensive tackle Casey Rogers.
