With kicker Younghoe Koo injured with a strained right groin, the Falcons signed Elliott Fry to the practice squad Thursday.

He’s likely to be elevated to the roster Sunday if Koo’s injury does not improve. The Falcons (0-3) are set to play the Green Bay Packers (3-0) at 8:15 p.m. Monday at Lambeau Field.

Fry, who played at South Carolina in the SEC, signed with Chicago following the 2019 NFL draft. He has spent time with Chicago, Baltimore, Carolina and Tampa Bay, but has not appeared in an NFL game.

At South Carolina, Fry made 66 of 88 field-goal attempts (75%) and finished his career as the Gamecocks' all-time leading scorer.

Also, the Falcons released punter Cameron Nizialek from the practice squad.
