The Falcons added inside linebacker Daren Bates and outside linebacker James Vaughters to the 53-man roster, signing them from the team’s practice squad.
In corresponding moves, the team released inside linebacker Dorian Etheridge from the 53-man roster and signed wide receiver Marvin Hall to the practice squad.
Bates has appeared in two games this season as a standard practice-squad elevation.
Vaughters has appeared in three games – two as a standard practice-squad elevation and one as a COVID-19 elevation. Vaughters played at Tucker High School was a member of the AJC Super 11 in 2010. The Falcons signed him to the practice squad Sept. 3.
Hall played for the Falcons in 2017 and 2018, appearing in 24 games total, catching 12 passes. He also played for the Lions in 2019 and the Browns and Lions in 2020.
Etheridge signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent this year. He made the 53-man roster out of training camp and played in the first five games, but he was inactive for the past two games.
