What you should know about Braves’ home opener

The first game of the season at Truist Park, a night game, features the Arizona Diamondbacks

This will be the first home game of the 2024 season, as the Braves look for better weather than Chicago and friendlier fans than they faced in Philadelphia.

After the final game against the White Sox was called off Wednesday – due to a forecast that included rain or snow – the Braves have pushed their starters back a day. Spencer Strider will start Friday. Max Fried will pitch Saturday’s game, and Chris Sale will throw Sunday’s final.
