SAN FRANCISCO – The Braves activated reliever Luke Jackson from the paternity list and optioned infielder Orlando Arcia to Triple-A Gwinnett before Sunday’s series finale in San Francisco.

Jackson was scheduled to rejoin his teammates late Saturday night. He was available for Sunday’s game.

Jackson’s return is a welcomed addition for the Braves, who’d lost four consecutive games entering Sunday. Jackson has been the team’s best reliever, posting a 2.09 ERA with a .207 average against across 63 games.

Arcia has played sparingly throughout the season. He’s 1-for-11 in nine games this month, making one start.
