Linebacker James Harrison announced early Monday his 15th season in the NFL was his last.

On Instagram, Harrison posted a collage of photos of his sons with the caption, “I've missed way too much for way too long...and I'm done. Many thanks to my family, coaches, the fans, and everyone who played a role in my football life. #2ndAndFinalRetirement #HarrisonFamilyValues #BlessedAndHighlyFavored #GodsPlan.”

The All-Pro linebacker announced his retirement once before in August 2014 and officially retired as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers before coming back to the team in September 2014 due to significant injuries on the Steelers defense.

Harrison, who played with the Steelers for 14 seasons, was released by the Steelers in December after limited playing time. Harrison signed with the New England Patriots three days after being released by the Steelers and played in Super Bowl LII in his final NFL season.

In 15 seasons, Harrison played in 193 games, starting 117, and recorded 84.5 sacks, 573 tackles, eight interceptions, 34 forced fumbles and nine fumble recoveries.
