Registration for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race opened Friday on www.ajc.com/peachtree.

Registration will close at 11:59 p.m. March 22.

All entrants will be placed into an online lottery for one of the 60,000 spots to participate in the Fourth of July race.

Entrants will be notified by e-mail March 25 whether they were selected. A searchable database will be posted on www.peachtreeroadrace.org and www.ajc.com/peachtree March 25.

As many as 10 people are allowed to enter as a group. If the group is selected, each of its members will receive an entry, and each member will be placed into the appropriate start wave. If the group isn’t selected, no one within that group will be selected.

Those who enter the lottery and aren’t selected for two consecutive years are guaranteed entry in the third year.

The entry fee is $35 plus processing fees. Winning entrants can pick up their number July 2 or July 3 at the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo at the World Congress Center. Or they can pay $10 to have their number mailed.
