By defeating DeSoto, Texas, 70-28 on Saturday, Creekside became the 27th team in GHSA history to win a game by 40 or more points after losing to the same opponent by 40 or more points the previous season. The 112-point swing is the largest in a 40/40 reversal game since 1947, when Wrens beat Greensboro 75-0 after losing 47-0 the year before. Below are all 40/40 reversals in GHSA history on record with the Georgia High School Football Historians Association. Counting reversals in which one team won by fewer than 40 points, the Creekside game ranks tied for fourth in GHSA history.
