Northside Hospital recently broke ground on a new medical campus. The west Cobb facility will serve residents of Smyrna, Vinings and surrounding communities.

“This beautiful facility will be an anchor for Northside in a rapidly growing and diversifying area,” Lee Echols, vice president of marketing and communications for Northside Hospital, said in a press release. “Northside Medical Cumberland should be a welcome addition to communities like Vinings, Smyrna and the West Cobb region, bringing improved access to health care for all those areas.”

The three-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building is expected to open in January 2023.

The facility will provide access not only to physicians but also to a broad range of services, including imaging, primary care, urgent care and other specialties.

The building, which will be at Cumberland Parkway and Atlanta Road in Smyrna, will be designed to provide accessible medical care to meet the current and future needs of the community.

Northside Hospital has partnered with Realty Trust Group and Branch Properties in developing the new Northside Medical Cumberland. The architect is HKS and the general contractor is Brasfield & Gorrie.

An official groundbreaking ceremony was Nov. 3 to mark the start of construction.
