Thrillist, a lifestyle publication, recently released its "21 Best Grilled Cheeses in America" roundup. To determine the list, its editors and writers scoured the 50 states to explore the restaurants with the finest recipes.
“Some are just the simple approach done miraculously right. Some are mutant sandwiches, stacked with pierogi. Some even swap bread for waffles,” the authors wrote. “But some, are simply better than the rest.”
Three Sheets in metro Atlanta is one of them. The Sandy Springs eatery offers a grilled cheese that features applewood-smoked cheddar, and it's served with a cup of bisque.
In addition to serving the meal daily, Three Sheets holds a monthly grilled cheese and wine dinner, where the chefs pair five grilled cheeses with five wines.
“This combination lets diners reminisce about childhood with a touch of added sophistication,” the eatery wrote on its website.
