Woman found dead in parking deck next to Georgia State

Atlanta police were investigating a suspicious death Friday afternoon in a parking deck adjacent to Georgia State University.
Atlanta Police Capt. Paul Guerrucci told The AJC that a female victim in her late 20s or early 30s was found with what appears to be blunt force trauma to the head. She was found in a sleeping bag on the first level of the AAA parking garage at Kimball Way and Decatur Street shortly after 11 a.m.
“There’s nothing to suggest she was a student. She appeared to have been sleeping” in the structure, he said.
