A Sandy Springs man said a woman caused chaos on his street when she struck several mailboxes with her car and tried to smash her way into his home with a water hose nozzle.

Channel 2 Action News reported that the woman was arrested after the man confronted her with a gun.

He told the news station that the woman came to the home about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday and started banging on the windows with the nozzle of a garden hose.

“My wife grabbed the kids and got all the kids, locked them in the basement downstairs,” the man, who did not want to be identified, told Channel 2.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, allegedly broke two windows at the front of the house, creating a loud banging noise.

“I brandished my weapon and said, ‘You need to leave right now,’ and she just stared me in the eyes and just stood there,” the man said.

He said the woman had run over his mailbox, hit his neighbor’s mailbox and hit another car on the same street.

It is unknown what charges the woman faces.
