A woman accused of shoplifting from a Victoria's Secret store in Long Island on Friday allegedly used pepper spray and assaulted two police officers who attempted to arrest her, WPIX reported.

Latoya Moe, 31, of Brooklyn, New York, is charged with assault with intent to cause physical injury to a police officer, grand larceny, criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration with a spray device, resisting arrest, false personation and possession of burglar tools, the television station reported.

Police released a different name for the suspect, WPIX reported Monday. Officials said Moe falsely reported her identity, the television station reported.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, Moe took merchandise valued at $1,100 from the store in East Garden City, News12 Long Island reported.

As officers tried to arrest Moe, she refused to put her hands behind her back and began to kick, bite, spit and punch the officers, WPIX reported.

Moe was arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead, News12 Long Island reported.
