A man died early Monday after police said his wife stabbed him during a dispute in their Gwinnett County home.

Officers were called to the home in the 2000 block of Preston Lake Drive in Tucker just after 1 a.m., Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. Collin Flynn said. The man was found dead at the scene.

The wife told investigators she stabbed her husband, according to Flynn. The police department is not releasing the names of the couple until next of kin is notified.

“Investigators are speaking with witnesses and collecting evidence in the case,” Flynn said. “At this time, there are no criminal charges.”

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Gwinnett police at 770-513-5300. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
