From our 45 AJC Best of Atlanta polls, we found out just how strong of a stance Atlantans take on everything from where they get their wings to which sports talk radio host they tune in for each week.

By tallying thousands of votes on myriad topics, the AJC’s Best of Atlanta gave a glimpse on the significant elements that define the Atlanta experience.

Some of the highlights from our Best of Atlanta poll were quite interesting. Turns out the most popular radio host topic is news talk radio. In that category, AM radio host Rashad Richey of WAOK, News & Talk 1380 reigned supreme. With a bevy of downtown squares to choose from, our AJC readers pinpointed one of the most distant suburbs, Covington, as the spot for the top downtown square. One of the top-voted categories, wings, brought one of our biggest surprises for Atlanta’s favorite wing spot. It wasn’t J.R. Crickets, the Atlanta food chain that has become the legend of pop culture. It was a little-known chain, Three Dollar Cafe, that was voted as the best place for wings.

Here are all the other places, things and events you all lauded as the Best of Atlanta.
