Warm-up shelters offer relief from the storm
The state has opened six shelters for those in need of a place to stay or just to briefly warm up is prepared to open 20 more if needed.
There also are six police precincts in Atlanta ready to take in stranded motorists.
To find a shelter or warming center now open, please check with the Georgia Emergency Management website.
