DeKalb County police Wednesday arrested a 30-year-old man who they say shot a longtime acquantance at a home near Stone Mountain.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1400 block of Rockmoor Court off Panola Road.

DeKalb police Capt. S.R. Fore said the 33-year-old victim, Joshua Thomas, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Fore said Thomas got into an argument with longtime acquaintance Clayton Lewis, who pulled a handgun and shot Thomas.

Lewis remained at the scene, and was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, Fore said.
