Atlanta is hosting the NCAA Final Four this weekend.
City officials anticipate upward of 100,000 men’s college basketball enthusiasts to descend upon the Georgia Dome and Downtown Atlanta.
College hoops fans and those not so thrilled about the crush of humanity will want to know the best way to negotiate the expected crowds.
The Atlanta Police Department has outlined road closures that will be in place to accommodate the crowds, beginning Wednesday:
Wednesday – Thursday
Lane Closures
• East curb lane of Park Avenue West between Marietta Street and Baker Street from 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. daily. One-way traffic allowed from Baker Street toward Marietta Street.
• Both east bound lanes of Baker Street between Luckie Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive from 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. daily. One-way traffic allowed from Centennial Olympic Park Drive toward Luckie Street.
Monday – Tuesday
Street Closure
• Nassau Street between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Spring Street starting 8 a.m. on April 1 through 12 p.m. April 9.
Friday
Street Closures
• Park Avenue West between Marietta Street and Baker Street. from 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.
Event staff parking or residential access allowed from Baker Street toward Marietta Street with event parking pass or residential access pass.

• Second west curb lane of Centennial Olympic Park Drive between Philips Drive and Marietta Street from 11:30 p.m. until 12 a.m. for post-game shuttle staging. (lane reopens after first wave of buses clears)
