Twenty people died in Georgia during the Thanksgiving holiday travel season, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The organization tracked the period from 6 p.m. Wednesday to midnight Monday.
The fatal crashes occurred in Bryan, Carroll, Chatham, Cobb, Coweta, Decatur, Dougherty, Floyd, Gilmer, Grady, Lamar, Laurens, Oglethorpe, Putnam, Ware and Warren counties.
More than 280 people were injured in 608 crashes investigated across the state, according to the GSP.
Troopers also arrested 273 people for driving under the influence.
