Two people killed Monday in a vehicle crash on an I-75 overpass in Henry County were from New Orleans, authorities said Tuesday.

Driver Danielle Carter and passenger Justin Williams, both 25, were in a gray Chevy Tahoe that crashed on the Locust Grove Griffin Road overpass, the Henry County coroner said.

The preliminary investigation revealed Carter lost control of the vehicle while pulling a box trailer, Henry County police Capt. Joey Smith said Monday.

Northbound traffic on I-75 was shut down for more than two hours Monday because of the accident.
