A traffic stop on I-20 ended with an arrest when a Rockdale County deputy found 4.6 pounds of marijuana and more than $23,000 cash inside the vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.

A deputy stopped a car on I-20 around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and could smell raw marijuana, according to the sheriff’s office. Inside, the deputy found the marijuana and cash.

The driver, Michael Rashawn Preston, 35, of Conyers, was arrested for failure to maintain lane and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Preston was being held Tuesday afternoon in the Rockdale County Jail without bond.
