A new analysis of performance with at-risk student groups shows Fulton County with the lowest percentage of schools in metro Atlanta that "beat the odds."
The annual statistical analysis by the Governor's Office of Student Achievement compares schools' ability to teach based on student characteristics that are "outside the school's control." Race, ethnicity, disabilities, English fluency, economic "disadvantage" and transience were considered in Thursday's report. Typically, 40 percent of schools beat the odds.
In Fulton, 46 percent of district schools beat the odds, according to a review by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. See how your school performed:
