The Georgia House of Representatives on Tuesday passed a Senate measure that attempts to improve the usefulness of tests required in public schools.

Senate Bill 211 was amended with a House bill that ensures that students who are dual-enrolled in high school and college will be in the running to be valedictorian or salutatorian, even if they don't physically attend the high school.

Because SB 211 now contains a rider with the language in House Bill 114, the package must return to the Senate for final approval on Thursday, the last day of this year's legislative session.
