Authorities in Amarillo, Texas responded Tuesday to reports of an active shooter and possible hostage situation at a Walmart.

The situation was believed to be workplace-related and the suspect was shot and killed by authorities.

Everyone else in the store, including any hostages, are reported as being safe at this time.

Police are telling the public to stay away from the area.
