Georgia authorities are closing security gates around the state Capitol for an “undetermined period of time” anticipating potential protests surrounding the possible indictment of Trump and his allies in Fulton County.

In an email sent to members of the Georgia General Assembly, state officials said the gates would close Tuesday sometime during business hours and would remain closed for several days.

The Georgia House is also asking staffers to telework Tuesday and Wednesday “due to potential unrest” at the Fulton County Courthouse.

Fulton officials have braced for demonstrations that could follow a possible indictment, tightening security around the courthouse and putting staff members on high alert.

However, experts who follow domestic extremism think there is a low probability that the indictments will result in any real disruption or violence. No demonstrators have gathered outside the courthouse Monday as prosecutors present their case to a grand jury inside.
