A new 26-story residential tower may soon be added to the Midtown skyline.

The 314-foot tall residential tower will be located behind historic Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Atlanta.

A Dallas-based developer released design details for the project on June 11 to Midtown's Development Review Committee

Site plans presented by StreetLights Residential, reveal the building will have 19 floors of residential space, including 38 studio, 167 one-bedroom, 75 two-bedroom, and 10 three-bedroom units, according to Brian Carr, Midtown Alliance communications director, in an email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

He said the remaining seven floors would be used for parking. There will be 568 parking spaces with 150 of those spots reserved for the church.

Renderings suggest the building will mimic the Gothic Revival architecture of the church and will also have about 4,500 square feet of retail.

Efforts to reach the developer for comment were unsuccessful late Friday afternoon. The cost and expected completion date of the project have not been released.

The building would not be the only new addition to the Midtown skyline. Last month, Atlanta-based investment group Invesco, announced it plans to move into a new tower located at 17th, Spring and West Peachtree streets. That building is scheduled to open in 2022.
