The debate over Georgia’s “religious liberty” bill, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, continues today. A Sandy Springs rabbi outlines why all people of faith should reject the legislation which, he writes, has advanced with questionable issues of fairness in capitol chambers. A representative of the Georgia Baptist Convention supports the bill, saying religious faith cannot be restricted outside places of worship. In our third column, a pediatrics group says a bill lifting restrictions on fireworks is destined to injure and maim more residents, especially children.
