Atlanta Forward: Education

Many education issues are in the news this year in Georgia, and we talk about three of them today. First, I write about whether Georgia has gone too far in its effort to fortify its high school curriculum, especially in math. In response to the President Barack Obama’s proposal to make community college free, a successful Atlanta business owner shares the pivotal role one such college played in his success. And readers voice their views on the controversial effort to annex Druid Hills into Atlanta and what that will do to the neighborhood schools.
