Five Georgia students, two high schoolers and three college students, had a secret meeting with President Barack Obama at Manuel’s Tavern during the president’s Atlanta visit March 9.

The roundtable, where Pres. Obama and the students discussed the challenges of paying for college, college debt and enrolling in community college as a way to save money, was taped by Vice Media and included the company’s founder, Shane Smith.

The students were Antwarn Sanders and D’Ariel Myrick, seniors from Atlanta Public Schools’ Booker T. Washington High School, and Lauren Milner, Laura O’Connell and Gabriel Galarza from Georgia Tech.

The roundtable discussion was videotaped following President Obama’s speech at Georgia Tech, where the president spoke to thousands of college students and Atlanta residents about college affordability and unveiled his Student Aid Bill of Rights.

The roundtable was posted to Vice News’ web site March 16.
