An Austin girl who was kidnapped 12 years ago was found Tuesday in Mexico, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
During an operation conducted in a small town southeast of Mexico City, Mexican federal authorities, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Marshals were able to locate Sabrina Allen and her 44-year-old mother Dara Llorens, said private investigator Philip Klein.
In April 2002, Allen’s father, Gregory Allen reported that his 4-year-old daughter had not been returned home by his ex-wife Dara Llorens, an arrest warrant affidavit said.
Tuesday night, Allen and Llorens were flown back to the U.S. and arrived in Houston, Klein said.
Travis County jail records show that Llorens was booked into the Travis County jail about 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.
Llorens has been charged with aggravated kidnapping with a bail set at $300,000.
According to Klein, Allen has been transferred to an undisclosed location where she is undergoing medical evaluations.
