The Georgia Department of Labor will host a two-part recruiting session to help MARTA hire about 50 bus drivers 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27 at the GDOL's Gwinnett Career Center, 2211 Beaver Ruin Road in Norcross.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or a GED, and a class A or B commercial driver's license with at least two years of driving experience. At least one year of bus, taxi or limousine driving experience is preferred, but not required. Interested drivers should also have a copy of their motor vehicle report for the past seven years.

MARTA will conduct a background check and drug-screening test on selected applicants. Salaries begin at $14.51 an hour. Information: GDOL's website www.gdol.ga.gov, click 'On-Line Services,' then 'Job Search' and enter job order number 8325542 or 770-840-2200.
