Fulton County police Friday were investigating an overnight shooting outside a Fulton Industrial hotel that left a man dead.

Channel 2 Action News reported that a man found wounded around midnight in a Chevrolet Malibu in a ditch alongside the ramp from I-20 to Fulton Industrial Boulevard had been shot in the parking lot of the nearby Fairview Inn hotel.

After the shooting, the man drove onto Fulton Industrial, then drove the wrong way up the I-20 exit ramp before crashing into the ditch.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

Police have made no arrests and have not said what led to the shooting.
