Zoo Atlanta said goodbye to Zuri, its 1-year-old female giraffe, earlier this week. The 10-foot-tall giraffe was moved to Rolling Hills Wildlife Adventure in Salina, Kan., on the recommendation of the Giraffe Species Survival Plan. Zuri was the first giraffe calf born at Zoo Atlanta and is the half-sister of 3-month-old Lily, who is currently on display daily in the zoo’s African Plains habitat.
