Worker rescued after falling in 30-foot well behind Atlanta home

Sept 26, 2015

A worker called to cover a well behind a south Atlanta home Saturday morning had to be rescued after falling in, officials said.

Atlanta fire department spokesman Firefighter Cortez Stafford said the male worker was in the 30-foot well on Turman Avenue for about an hour before being rescued. He suffered non-life threatening injuries.

“It was a great effort considering the weather and the condition of the hole,” Stafford said. “They did a great job in getting him out so quickly.”
