Motorists on Ga. 92 in the vicinity of First Baptist Church of Woodstock should expect traffic delays and probably should avoid the area certain times the next few days as Cherokee County high schools graduate more than 2,700 seniors in six ceremonies.

The ceremonies will take place at the church, 11905 Highway 92, Woodstock, and are scheduled for:

Thursday: Creekview High School, 4 p.m.; Etowah High School, 8 p.m.

Friday: Woodstock High School, 4 p.m.; Cherokee High School, 8 p.m.

Saturday: Sequoyah High School, 9 a.m.; River Ridge High School, 1 p.m.

Heavy traffic is expected on eastbound and westbound Ga. 92 as well on Trickum and Neese roads at least one hour prior to the start of each ceremony, Woodstock police say. Uniformed officers will be posted to assist with traffic congestion, but police advise drivers to seek alternate routes if possible.
