After posting a link to the COVID-19 website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the city of Woodstock announced its senior center will be closed "out of an abundance of caution" for two weeks beginning Friday.

The closure affects Woodstock Parks & Recreation programs at the William G. Long Senior Center, 223 Arnold Mill Road. Activities there include games, arts and crafts, painting and wood carving, and Friday "Lunch and Learn" sessions, according to the center's website: https://bit.ly/2TYyZ1W

Older adults and persons with severe underlying health conditions appear to be at higher risk of developing serious COVID-19 illness, the CDC says. Information: https://bit.ly/39PDFxK
