Tribute ensembles to classic rock 'n' roll of the late 20th Century and an appearance by an original artist of the era – singer-songwriter Christopher Cross – make up the 2020 Woodstock Summer Concert Series, according to a city announcement.

The Woodstock City Council on Monday approved contracts totaling $217,500 with RCS Productions Inc. for five performances, May through September, at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater.

The 2020 season opens with “The Ultimate Queen Celebration Starring Marc Martel,” May 9, followed by Rumours, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, June 13; five-time Grammy winner Cross, July 11; Steep Canyon Rangers, a Grammy-winning bluegrass band, Aug. 8; and The Black Jacket Symphony recreating the album, “Hotel California,” and other hits by the Eagles, Sept. 12.

The Saturday evening concerts are free, presented by the city, Carriage Kia Woodstock and Woodstock Parks and Recreation. Opening acts begin at 7:30 p.m. and headliners, at 8:30 p.m., rain or shine. Information: https://bit.ly/2RAMF3k
