Woman stabbed to death in front of children; boyfriend arrested
A woman was stabbed to death by her boyfriend during a dispute early Sunday morning, Atlanta police said.
Channel 2 Action News reports that a number of people were present when the attack occurred, including the couple’s 10-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old relative.
Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Springdale Road around 4:30 a.m., Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said. They found the victim unresponsive with multiple stab wounds, Jones said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the Grady Hospital emergency room, Jones said.
Calvin Brown, 35, was arrested after a brief struggle with police, Jones said. He is being charged with murder.
The couple's daughter is with her grandparents, police told Channel 2.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
