Cherokee County authorities found the body of a 58-year-old woman who had been reported missing Wednesday, a sheriff’s office spokesman said.

Deputies responded to the Pine Circle address and found the body outside the house, Lt. Jay Baker said.

Baker called the death “suspicious.” He said the call came in to authorities about 6:30 a.m.

The victim, who was not identified, lived with her 87-year-old mother, Baker said.

The mother is not a suspect in the death.
