Organizers behind the annual Merry Marietta Window Walk display contest have announced the winners in this year’s friendly competition among business owners.
More than two dozen merchants created holiday-themed storefront designs that pleased Marietta Square visitors and shoppers, said Clementine Creative Agency, the marketing company that sponsored the competition.
Award categories include the Grand Award for Best in Show, Most Original, Best at Night and the People’s Choice Award. The 2019 winners are:
Grand Award for Best in Show: Miss Mamie’s Cupcakes
This is Miss Mamie’s Cupcakes’ second consecutive win for this award. Its decorations featured “a larger than life retro-inspired display including a vintage styled hand-painted Santa, foil trees, and a brightly-lit Merry Christmas sign to amp up the holiday cheer, according to Clementine Creative Agency.

Most Original: Georgia Dance Conservatory
Georgia Dance Conservancy used costumes from The Nutcracker, transforming its storefront “into a delightful fantasy-scape of unique materials and textures – from a hanging curtain of satin toe shoes to a graceful tutu skirt fashioned of evergreen fronds and playful characters shown in animated silhouette behind the drape of a Victorian skirt,” Clementine Creative noted.

People’s Choice Award: Ansley Atlanta Real Estate
Ansley Atlanta’s Real Estate received the most votes — 1,501— on Merry Marietta’s website and social media accounts. Clementine Creative said Ansley Atlanta's display includes “holly jolly reindeer antlers decked with hats, garlands and ornaments and sized for adults, kids and even festive-feeling pups – allowing visitors to pose for their own fun, holiday photos.”

Merissa Davis, partner at Clementine Creative Agency, said organizers and participants “had so much fun” seeing the holiday spirit on full display around the Square.
“We were excited to have not just returning faces, but also new merchants to join the fun after last year’s success,” she said. “And not only did the merchants really get into the game, but we had even more People’s Choice award votes than last year.”
