Marietta Square merchants will once again engage in a friendly competition this month with the annual storefront decorating contest.
The Merry Marietta Window Walk began Thursday, and 25 merchants have tossed their hats into the ring for the competition. Contest winners will be named on Friday, Dec. 20, and organizers are asking the public to help name the People’s Choice Award winner for the event.
Window shoppers can like their favorite display on Instagram, Facebook or on the contest website.
Shoppers who snap a photo with their favorite window and post it to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #merrymarietta will be entered to win a gift card from one of the merchants.
“We’re looking forward to another fun and festive season with the Merry Marietta Window Walk this year,” said Merissa Davis, partner at sponsoring agency Clementine Creative. “Whether they are doing their holiday shopping or enjoying the Winter Wonderland, we hope everyone who visits the Square will take the opportunity to appreciate the creativity and community spirit that the merchants have displayed in these window designs and to have a little fun, get involved and vote.”
