MedShare honored several volunteers , who have " gone above and beyond" at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet.
The volunteers receiving the top honors are: Beth Caldwell, of Lilburn, Deborah Printz Lifetime Achievement Award; Diane Keltz, of Stone Mountain, Spirit of True Caring Award; Marc Girardot, of Atlanta, Outstanding Service Award; and Rona Gilchrist, of Decatur, Rookie of the Year Award.
Additionally, about 40 other volunteers will receive Presidential Awards for Service for the number of hours they've donated to MedShare.
Decatur-based MedShare collects and distributes surplus medical supplies and equipment to hospitals around the world.
