Visit Roswell names 1st full-time group sales exec
Visit Roswell, the North Fulton city’s convention and visitors bureau announced the hiring of Ted Basco as its first full-time group sales manager.
Basco began the job July 1, focusing on the corporate, association and SMERF (social, military, educational, religious and fraternal) markets, according to a Visit Roswell announcement. He also will be the bureau’s contact for film productions.
Basco has more than 20 years’ experience in hospitality industry sales and marketing. He previously was group sales manager at the Glenn Hotel – Autograph Collection; director of sales at the Westin Buckhead and Intercontinental Buckhead Atlanta; and director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina.
“Ted has the experience and the motivation to lay the foundation for a strong sales plan of action and measurables so that we may continue to showcase our value to our tourism partners and market Roswell as a premier destination in the South,” said Andy Williams, Visit Roswell’s executive director.
