March 18, 2013Hundreds of people showed up at Drew Charter School on Friday to learn about gardening in small spaces and to get free plants from Burpee Home Gardens.
Burpee Home Gardens traveled to the school on the second stop of its national “Grow Anywhere Tour.” The home gardening company said it delivered 450 vegetable plants and 1,300 pounds of produce to Atlanta residents.
Gardening experts for the company showed students and parents how to grow vegetables in nontraditional places, such as balconies and in containers.
