Qualifying for Snellville’s municipal election ended Aug. 23. Incumbent council members Christy Lenski (Post 3) and Barbara Bender (Post 5) will run for reelection unopposed. Two candidates, Johann L. Berenguer and Gretchen Schulz will compete for the council member Post 4 seat being vacated by councilmember Bobby Howard.
Voter registration deadline for this election is Oct. 10 for residents living within Snellville city limits. This election will be held 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 in the Snellville Senior Center, 2350 Oak Road. If no candidate receives a majority vote, then a runoff election will be held on Dec. 5 at the same location.
