A woman and a man were hurt Monday night after the man drove his truck into an apartment building in the 1300 block of Jonesboro Road, according to Atlanta police. The woman told police the accident happened after the couple argued about his drinking and driving.

Police said Kevin Fay, 45, drove his Toyota pickup into the building, causing cinder blocks to fall onto the roof of the truck and partially cave it in.

Fay received minor injuries and reportedly attempted to run away after the accident but was kept at the scene by witnesses, police said.

His passenger, Christine Gentry, 47,  received minor head injuries. Both were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Gentry told police that she and Fay were arguing in the truck when he lost control and struck the building. She said the argument was over his drinking and driving.

Fay was arrested on a slew of charges, including DUI, reckless driving, hit and run, and failure to maintain his lane, police said.
