As Fayette County continues to verify the residency of its public school population, a breakdown released on Oct. 31 to the Board of Education shows two regions with the most unverified students. Of the 293 students from 205 households still not verified, 97 of them are in the Sandy Creek High feeder pattern and 94 are in the Fayette County High feeder pattern. The Whitewater High area is third with 45 unverified students; McIntosh’s feeder pattern has 39 and Starr’s Mill has only 18. Parents of unverified students must provide the school system with proof of county residency (typically a utility bill) or risk having their children expelled in December.
