Two Cobb County students were named U.S. Presidential Scholars for 2011. Joan K. Bedinger of Campbell High and Michelle Lee of Wheeler High are among four students statewide and 141 nationally to earn the honor. The program recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, artistic excellence, leadership, citizenship and service to their community. Bedinger, a senior, scored a perfect 2400 on the SAT and plans to attend Princeton University. Lee, also a senior, plans to study Biology at Harvard University.
