Drivers who usually use Spalding Road will have to find a different route on Wednesday.
A tree and a power lines have fallen on the road, closing a section of the road to all traffic, Sandy Springs officials said. The stretch of the road that is closed is between Windsor Chapel Road and River Exchange Drive.
Officials say a power line poll snapped as the tree fell. They are unsure how long it will take to clear the road.
Sandy Springs spokeswoman Sharon Kraun said tree fall wasn’t caused by a human and was likely due to weather.
